NAMAZ E SHAB

TAHHAJJUD also known as Namaz - e - Shab (After midnight prayer), the most desirable of all Sunnat (optional) prayers.
Although TAHHAJJUD is an optional prayer, but it is considered to be nearest to the wajib (obligatory) prayer.
 The Holy QUR’AN says:
And (in a part) of the night, forsake sleep for prayer, in addition to (what is incumbent) on you: may be that your LORD exhalts you unto a praised position. [BANI ISRAIL: 79]

The Holy prophet (S.A.) said:

Allah loves him who prays TAHAHJJUD, (whish is) the “Sunnat” (way of life) of the prophets & messengers, light of wisdom, pillar of faith, gives rest & peace to the body, a comforting agent at the time of death, makes the face graceful, acts as a decisive weapon against enemies, allows livelihood to flow continuously, a mediator between the pray – ee (namazi) & the angels of death, a helper on the day of judgment, gives answers to the questions of ‘Munkar & Nakeer’ (the two angels who examine the soul of the dead), & keeps away Satan, & is cause of countless benefits.
The essence of TAHAJJUD is that at the time of, after mid night, when sleep is sweet, & all the living being, even the restless ailing patients close their eyes, it is the highest form of obedience to ALLAH to forsake the alluring sleep & get up to stand submissively before the creator, which in return, shall bring nothing but blessing & pleasure of ALLAH. In the name of the Almighty
