This prayer is offered when some natural phenomenon occours which makes one awe-struck, like Solar or Lunar eclipse, earthquakes, typhoons, tornadoes, cyclones or Heavy rains/floods.
At such times the prayer is wajib. This prayer is to be performed in 2 (two) Rak’ats with 5 (five) ruku & 2 (two) Sajdah
